At Resilient Return, resilience isn’t just a concept—it’s our foundation. Our practice was founded by Colleen Coffey, a former Junior Olympic gymnast who dedicated 15 years to her sport while overcoming three ACL tears and multiple reconstructive surgeries. Her personal journey of perseverance and mental strength fuels our mission: to empower individuals to rise above challenges and reclaim their well-being.
Colleen grew up in the Chicagoland area and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science. She went on to earn her Master of Medical Science from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
As a licensed Physician Assistant practicing in psychiatry since 2016, Colleen specializes in mental health care, focusing on mood disorders, anxiety, depression, insomnia, trauma responses, and concentration difficulties. Her holistic approach emphasizes treating the whole person, not just symptoms. She is dedicated to creating an open and comfortable environment where patients feel supported and heard. Whether through therapy, medications, or lifestyle changes, Colleen works collaboratively with her patients to craft personalized care plans that promote healing, resilience, and a better quality of life.
Through many years of practicing in psychiatry, Colleen has helped countless individuals achieve balance and mental clarity. She relocated to Florida in 2018, where she now calls home, with her husband and 2 dogs. She brings a unique combination of compassion, dedication, and expertise to her practice.
At Resilient Return, we don’t just treat symptoms—we help you build resilience and thrive. Let us support you in overcoming life’s obstacles and taking control of your mental health.
